Scan for Anderson
Forest new boy Paul Anderson is to have a scan on the thigh injury that has disrupted his pre-season.

The 19-year-old who has joined The Reds on a season-long loan from Liverpool, missed Friday's pre-season opener against Offenbach Kickers and will also sit out tomorrow's trip to Burton Albion (kick-off 7.15pm).

Manager Colin Calderwood has revealed he will undergo a scan as a precautionary measure.

"Paul will have a scan on his leg just to give the physios and the doctor a chance to really understand what the problem is," he said.

"We should have a better idea about his progression over the next week or so."

Garner Trigger In Place
According to the official Carlisie United website, and in response to the continued speculation surroundong the future of Joel Garner, Carlisle United is today issuing a statement explaining that they would have no alternative but to sell once they have been offered £1.14 million for him.

Carlisle United's chief executive David Allen, who is one of the club's four new owners, said: "We have always wanted to keep Joe. He is extremely popular with our fans and everyone at the club.

"Of course, he is also a great young player with tremendous potential who is working extremely hard to recover from a very serious injury, which is likely to sideline him for several more months.

"But there is nothing we can do to stop Nottingham Forest, or any other club for that matter, speaking to Joe once they have reached the £1.14 million trigger.

"Our relationships with Forest and with Joe remain good but I would like to stress that it was not Carlisle United who informed Forest of the £1.14 million trigger.

"As I say, we have always wanted to keep Joe as a Carlisle United player and we are mindful that he still has two years to run on his contract with us."

Forest sign Moussi
Guy Moussi is a 23 year old defensive midfielder from French Ligue 2 side Angers SCO. He's been there for three years and is very highly thought of. It's thought he's been brought to the attention of NFFC by former player David Friio, who is now scouting for us on the Continent. Moussi is described as a tough tackling midfielder, who's built like a house. At 6ft, 1 inch, he'll be an imposing sight. He could turn out to be the ideal replacement for the now departed Sammy Clingan. According to Angers SCO, he will join us for ¤350,000 and on a three year deal.
