| Frank Barlow and Ian McParland |
|
Frank Barlow was Megson's assistant manager and Ian "Charlie" McParland had been running the reserves. The pair will be in charge for Saturday's trip to Port Vale, and after chairman Nigel Doughty declared there was "unlikely" to be a permanent appointment before the Summer, they should be secure enough to concentrate on turning things around.
Update 30 May 2006 Frank and Ian are no longer in charge of the club after Colin Calderwood was given a three-year deal today. So far there is no news on whether the pair are likely to stay with the club or not. Update 28 June 2006 Frank Barlow has left Forest to take on the role of caretaker manager at Hull City. The Tigers are currently negotiating Phil Parkinson's release from Colchester united, and once completed, Barlow will become his assistant.
