A permanent deal has apparently already been agreed for the player who has scored 12 goals this season for Posh.

Bennett returns to action
02/03/10 16:19
Nottingham Forest defender Julian Bennett returns to
action for the reserves on Tuesday after more than 14
months out with a knee injury.
The left-back damaged ligaments in a league fixture against Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day 2008.
But the 25-year-old will play in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Coventry City at the City Ground on this afternoon (02/03/10).
Bennett joined the Reds from Walsall in January 2006.
He has started 99 games for the club and was the first-choice left-back at the time of the injury.
Forest have struggled to cope in Bennett's absence with Joel Lynch, Chris Cohen, James Perch and loan signing Nicky Shorey all used in that position this season.

Forest to reward armed forces
28/10/09 14:54
Nottingham Forest are marking Remembrance Sunday by
making a
special offer to members of the armed forces to attend the
Championship game with Bristol City on Saturday November 7.
The game comes a day before Remembrance Day and Forest are
making it possible for serving members of the Army, Navy, RAF and
the TA to attend the game for just £5.
They can also bring a guest for £5.
Forest have had strong links with the Worcestershire and Sherwood
Foresters Mercian Regiment, who will be special guests at The
City Ground for the game against Leicester City on Saturday
December 5, but it was thought that the Bristol game was a timely
opportunity to make a gesture to servicemen and women.
Said a Forest spokesman: "We thought it would be a good idea with
Remembrance Sunday falling a day after the game and we are
hoping that the offer is well received."
Any regiment or service base wanting to take advantage of the
offer should contact daniel.huson@nottinghamforest.co.uk
or call the Marketing Department on 0115 9824400.

Victor Chandler £6m Nottingham Forest Championship Pledge!
21/07/09 12:33
Online bookmaker and Nottingham Forest sponsor Victor Chandler has announced it will pay for 2010/11 Premier League adult season tickets if Nottingham Forest win the Championship title this season, in a move that could cost Victor Chandler in excess of £6million
The offer is open to all Nottingham Forest season ticket holders who open an online account with Victor Chandler, place a bet of only £5 or more (for age verification purposes), and register for the offer before 20th August.
Victor Chandler, Chairman, commented “I wanted to make an offer to the supporters which they could really associate with, and with the cost of Premier League tickets so high, the offer of a free season ticket next season seemed appropriate. It’s a big risk to the business but I made my name taking risks and I have no intention of stopping now!”
If Forest win the Championship Victor Chandler will make a direct payment to the club to cover all the season tickets for those customers who have registered for the scheme.

Fee agreed for McKenna
16/07/09 12:20
The Reds have been trailing McKenna for some time and had seen three approaches knocked back by the “Lilywhites” before finally reaching an agreement.
An offer lodged on Wednesday has been deemed acceptable by North End and they have granted McKenna permission to discuss personal terms.
The 31-year-old has spent his entire professional career to date at Deepdale, and is club captain at the Lancashire club.
However, he could now be set to take on a new challenge at the City Ground under former Preston boss Billy Davies.
A statement from Preston said: "Preston North End can confirm they have reluctantly reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest over the terms of a possible transfer of club captain Paul McKenna from Deepdale to the City Ground.
"The 31-year-old has been coveted by Billy Davies for much of the summer but the Lilywhites have turned down three approaches for the midfielder, however, an agreeable offer was finally made late on Wednesday and permission has now been granted for talks to take place between the player and Forest.
"The club believes McKenna will travel to the East Midlands on Thursday to have talks with his former manager and no further comment will be made by PNE until after these discussions have taken place."

McGoldrick signs!
29/06/09 14:13
Nottingham Forest have today completed the signing of
striker David McGoldrick from Southampton.
The Reds have paid a seven-figure fee for the 21 year old Nottingham-born star.
McGoldrick, who hails from the Wollaton area of the city, started his career with Notts County's youth set-up.
He made just 10 first team appearances for The Magpies before Southampton spotted his potential.
They snapped him up in the summer of 2004 and after loan spells with Bournemouth and Port Vale he established himself in the Saints' first team.
McGoldrick appeared in every one of Southampton's Championship games last season and topped their scoring charts with 12 league goals and two Carling Cup strikes.
This website is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring David for the coming season!
David’s Playing Career
David was originally with Notts County’s youth squad and made four appearances in League Two for the club's first team at the end of the 2003–04 season.
He was snapped up by Southampton and joined their academy in the summer of 2004.
He was a member of Southampton's youth team that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2005, losing on aggregate to Ipswich Town.
A powerfully built youngster with an assured touch he can finish and create chances, and forms an excellent link between the midfield and forwards.
At the start of the 2005–06 season he made his Saints debut as a substitute in the 1–0 Carling cup defeat against Mansfield, and also returned to Notts County for a brief spell to gain more first team experience. Although he failed to score in that stay, this was a mere blip in what was otherwise a phenomenal season, which saw him score 44 goals for the Saints’ Reserves and Under-18 teams, including a hat-trick in the Under-18s play-off final in which Saints beat Aston Villa 3-2.
He also netted three goals over the two legs of the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Liverpool to earn a call-up to the first team, making his club league debut at home to Millwall.
On 16 February 2007, he joined Football League One team Bournemouth on a one-month loan and scored his first goal against Oldham Athletic in a 2–1 victory.
On 23 March the loan was extended until the end of the season, but on 23 April Southampton recalled McGoldrick as cover following several injuries to first team players.
On 31 August 2007, he joined Port Vale on loan until January.
After an impressive pre-season, which included two goals against Premier League side West Ham United,[4] McGoldrick scored his first league goal for the Saints in the 2–1 defeat to Cardiff City on 9 August 2008. This was followed three days later by another two goals in the League Cup victory over Exeter City.
He spent the start of the season playing mainly on the right wing, but is now playing mostly as an attacking midfielder.
On 17 September 2008, he signed a new three–year contract with Southampton keeping him at the club until 2011. However, on 29 June 2009, he was signed by Nottingham Forest F.C. for £1,000,000.
