By car, from all directions:
Leave motorway M1 at Junction 37 then follow "Barnsley FC" road signs into the visitors car park. This will take you on the following route avoiding the busy town centre bottlenecks.

At motorway roundabout follow "Barnsley FC" signs into Dodworth Road. In 1/4 mile, turn left at the traffic lights into Pogmoor Road. In approximately 1 mile (hospital on the left) turn right at the traffic lights into Gawber Road and in 1/3 mile follow road round sharp bend into Victoria Road and continue to traffic lights. Continue straight on at traffic lights into Old Mill Lane travelling down hill for 1/3 mile to traffic lights. Continue straight on at the next set lights (100 yards) taking the right hand lane. Follow signs "Pontefract A628" turning right at B&Q roundabout (McDonalds/Asda on left) into Harborough Hill Road. Travel uphill and in approximately 1/2 mile at the top of the hill branch left (sign posted Pontefract A628) then immediately left into Queens Road (sign posted Metrodome/football visitors). The visitors car park is at the top of Queens Road on the right hand side.

From Railway Station (Barnsley Interchange):
The station is 0.5 miles from the ground and is an easy walk (see map).

By Bus:
The bus station is right by the railway station and, therefore, an easy walk. However, services down Pontefract Road are frequent and nos. 36a, 37b, 38a, 38b, 117, 211, 245, 246, 247 and 328 will all get you there.

Trouble Factor:
Barnsley, like all football clubs, has a small minority of trouble makers who pop up from time to time. This is usually for the high-profile games against rivals Leeds or either of the Sheffield teams. Avoiding the Town Centre on these occasions is definitely a good idea. If you do need to go through the Town Centre then avoid displaying your colours.

Car Parking:
There are separate car parks for home and away fans. The visitors car park is at the top of Queens road, on the right hand side. Be warned though, there are usually long waits to get out after the game.

Pubs:
Pubs around the ground area tend to be visitor friendly. Police advice to visitors is not to use the pubs in the Town Centre.

Food:
Only one chip shop near the ground, in Langdale Road. Quality is good.
After this it's a choice between the usual collection of hotdog stalls, food inside the ground (good pies, worth a try) or heading off towards the town centre.
