Forest 2 - 0 India

Paul Hart continued his policy of using as many players as possible during the pre-season games. And it paid dividends again as Forest ran out 2-0 winners against an Indian National XI.

This really was a 'game of two halves' though. With the first-half, played by the younger and fresher graduates from Hart's academy, providing all the entertainment, chances and goals. Eugen Bopp, the 17-year-old ex-Bayern Munich midfielder, opened the scoring with a blistering long-range shot on 17 minutes. Jack Lester then provided the second on 32 minutes when he slammed home a cross from Jon Olav Hjelde.

A completely different Forest side took the field for the second-half as the senior players came out to stake their claim for a first team place in the new season. Most may not be successful though as the second half provided very little in the way of excitement, entertainment or chances.

So far Forest have a 100% record in their pre-season friendlies, scoring 13 goals and conceding none.

The pre-season campaign continues on Wednesday evening when Forest entertain Southampton at The City Ground, K.O. 7:45pm.
