The curtain has finally come down on the 1998-99 season. Not one of the best by any stretch of the imagination.

It doesn't take a great mathematician to work out that Forest have made a � 6,170,000 profit in the transfer market this season. We can only hope that the new manager is given this pot of money to help prepare for the new season and an immediate return to the Premiership.

Finally, lets not forget Dave 'Harry' Bassett who departed in early January leaving Mickey Adams to suffer for the 4-0 drubbing at Coventry. He was then be replaced by 'Big' Ron, who took charge of his first home game against Arsenal on January 16 1999.
