By car:
The easiest way to approach the ground is from the M1 motorway.
Exit the M1at junction 5 onto the A4008. Keep following signs for Town Centre and park up at one of the multi-storey car parks.
From the centre, Vicarage Road is well-signposted. If you don't see any pedestrian signs, follow the motor traffic ones for the A4145 Rickmansworth or the General Hospital.

By rail:
Watford Junction train station is on the West Coast mainline into London Euston, with direct trains from Liverpool, Manchester and Crewe.
At Watford Junction change onto the local service and take this one stop to Watford High Street, which is closer to the ground.
From the High Street station, turn left along the ring road, then follow the footpath off to the left, across Wiggenthall Road and on to Vicarage Road - the ground is a little way down on the left.

Car Parking:
Park in one of the town centre multi-storey car parks as street parking around the ground is tricky to say the least.

Pubs:
There is no shortage of pubs and eateries in the town centre, though some have taken to posting doormen at the entrance on match-days and will only allow respectable fans in.
Nearer to the ground the away fan's unofficial pub is Mac's bar in Fearnley Street, a left turning just off Vicarage Road as you walk back towards the town centre.
