By rail:
A short walk to bus stops at Piccadilly Gardens, at top of Oldham Street by Nobles Amusements.
Take the no. 11 'Little Gem' Bus which stops outside the Manchester City Supporters' Club or the no. 99 which stops on Lloyd Street.
Alternatively, bus nos. 41-45, 157 and W2 run along the Wilmslow Road - a ten minute walk from there to Maine Road.

By bus:
In addition to the ones listed above, football specials run from the Chorlton Street coach station about two hours before the match.

Trouble Factor:
Generally a safe ground to visit despite it'slocation in Moss Side. Tensions rise when Manchester United are the visitors.

Car Parking:
It's mainly street parking and not 100-percent safe (you are in Moss Side).
There has been a tendancy in recent years for kids to demand money to 'mind your car'.
The school car park by the ground is for stewards and season ticket holders only.
Try the school car park off Grantham Street instead.

Pubs:
There are a lot of pubs in the streets around the ground and most of them do not allow away fans in.
Best advice is to stop before you get near the ground.

Food:
There are several chippys in the streets around the ground, the most popular seems to be The City Chippy in Claremont Road. However, all the Chippys had large queues an hour before kick-off when we were there.
