By car:
From East: Exit M4 at junction 19 (s/p Bristol M32). Go to end of M32 (5 miles from M4) and turn left (s/p Broadmead, Temple Meads, Bristol Airport) onto Ring Road. Keep in right hand lanes into underpass (s/p All Other Routes) and get into lane for the Flyover Only.(s/p City Centre, Bedminster), and go over flyover. At next two roundabouts follow signs for Taunton A38, Weston A370, Avonmouth A4, into Coronation Road, which runs by the river, passing Avon Packet pub on left hand side. Left where road divides and follow Taunton signs onto, and then off, the dual carriageway (by the Mercedes Benz garage) into Winterstoke Road.
From South West, Wales and Midlands: Exit M5 at junction 19 (s/p Services, Clifton). At roundabout, take fifth exit (s/p Clifton, Easton in Gordano) onto A369. Follow Bristol A369 signs for 5 miles (along Rownham Hill and Clanage Road) to roundabout. Take second exit (s/p Ashton Vale, Bedminster) into underpass to junction opposite Mercedes-Benz garage. Straight over road (s/p Ashton Vale, Bedminster) into Winterstoke Road.
From South East (Bath,A4, from Hicks Roundabout): Follow Bristol A4 for 1.5 miles (passing McDonalds on RHS and B&Q; on LHS), then turn left (s/p Ring Road A4174, M5, Avonmouth A4). Follow Ring Road signs, and then pick up signs to Avonmouth A4. The route is complex but is signposted Avonmouth A4 (not always top of the list, but always there) directly to Ashton Gate (5.5 miles). Once you see The Robins pub on your left, look for parking.

By rail:
From Railway Station (Bristol Temple Meads): About 2 miles. Turn right out of station to main road. Turn left to Bath Bridge roundabout. Here, turn right, down either of the roads running along the river, Clarence Road or York Road. At next roundabout, after 0.4 miles, turn left into Bedminster Road, and into pedestrianised shopping precinct. At end of precinct, by London Inn, turn right into Cannon Street, which becomes North Street (at The Florikan and Firkin). There are takeaways and pubs along this road, including, after 0.8 miles, The Hen and Chicken. Turn left at roundabout just before The Hen and Chicken into Luckwell Road and immediately right into Smyth Road. Straight over crossroads with Duckmoor Road and right at T-junction into Winterstoke Road.

By bus:
Badgerline buses nos. 27 and 28 run along Duckmoor Road, which is a few minutes' walk from the ground.

Trouble Factor:
Can be an intimidating place to visit, however, the real trouble only rears it's head when the opponents are Bristol Rovers.

Car Parking:
It's street parking, and not easy. Early arrivals can park on the A3029 Long Ashton by-pass - i.e. Brunei Way. Those approaching from the M5 can park on Clanage Road, or Parklands Road. Nearer the ground, try down Ashton Vale Road (the road off Winterstoke Road, opposite the ground), or down Ashton Drive (the road running off Winterstoke Road by The Robins pub).

Pubs:
Pubs around the ground tend to be home fans only. The Ship and Castle on Ashton Vale Road does welcome visiting fans though. Further away from the ground try the Hotwells Area to the north of Ashton Gate. There are plenty of pubs and food options.

Food:
See pubs.
