Nottingham Forest have this afternoon signed Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne on loan until the end of the season.

It is Billy Davies' first signing since becoming manager at The City Ground in January.

The deal was clinched in time for the Birmingham-born 21 year old to go straight into contention for a place in the Forest side to face Preston North End at The City Ground tomorrow.

Osbourne has made six appearances for Villa's first team this season, having made his debut for them in the 2006-07 campaign.
