Palace's Fletcher set for Forest!

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they are set to sign midfielder Carl Fletcher from Championship rivals Crystal Palace on a six-week loan.
The Welsh international has made five substitute appearances for the Selhurst Park side this season.
The Eagles put 28-year-old Fletcher, who has had spells at Watford, West Ham and Bournemouth, on the transfer list in August.
Forest face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Forest are set to sign Brighton defender Joel Lynch
on a month's loan.
Lynch, who will be 21 next week, can operate at full back or in the centre of the back four and graduated through Brighton's youth set-up.
He was in the side that reached the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup. The former England Youth international, who made his Brighton debut in 2006, has
figured twice as a substitute this season and in total has made 88 appearances for the Seagulls.
Forest boss Colin Calderwood said: "He's a player I have looked at in the past and this gives us a good opportunity to have a look at him for a month."

Garner on his way back

Forest striker Joe Garner is back in
first-team training after a scan revealed he is well
ahead of schedule in his recovery from a cruciate
knee ligament injury.
But while the £1.14m capture from Carlisle could be back in action within a month, the club are still in the dark over when loan signing Paul Anderson will return.
The Liverpool man is struggling with a long-term thigh problem and Colin Calderwood revealed the club's medical staff are still searching for a solution.
The Reds boss said: "We have had really good news about Joe, the results of the scan were terrific.
"He is way, way ahead of schedule and he will now go into what is effectively a pre-season for him. But we will be able to integrate him into the group properly, to get him involved in training.
"Over the next two weeks he will not be able to have any contact, but he will be able to complete crossing and finishing sessions and play a floating role in other exercises.
"We are really pleased with his progress, although we are still looking at four to six weeks before he is available for selection. But it is good news, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we had thought he would be longer coming back than it looks like he will be."
But Calderwood admits there remains a great deal of frustration over Anderson's progress.
"Paul stalled a little when we started trying to put him through some serious work in training," he said. "The doctors are currently looking at trying to do something with him, to progress him beyond the stage he is at.
"There is not a return on the horizon for him just yet, certainly not in the next fortnight. As soon as we get into doing sprint work and power work with him, he feels it in his leg. We have to get through that, we have to find a way to build him up.
"It's not a case of him needing surgery but there may be an injection or some kind of treatment we can look at to help him through. Arron Davies has made good progress though and he could be involved at some stage next week."

Nottingham Forest are plotting at least one loan
signing as they prepare for a run of three games in
eight days, Colin Calderwood revealed today.
The Reds hope to land a left back and possibly a midfielder, as injuries to Julian Bennett and Lewis McGugan have left the squad looking thin.
Manager Calderwood does have the option of playing versatile Chris Cohen or youngster Joe Heath at left back in Bennett's absence, but is likely to look for a more experienced player to provide cover and, with McGugan also on the injury list, he may try to boost his options in the middle of the pitch as well.
He said: "We have to look at bringing players in. We have had a little scout around and we will try to do something before the end of next week.
"That is an important week for us, and if we can do it before, we might. The longer they are with us, the better-prepared they will be to play next weekend.
"We are just thinking about the fatigue that is likely to hit us by the time next weekend comes around, with the number of matches we are playing.
"It is situations like this where we have to have numbers and strength in depth just to keep us fresh.
"Twice already this season we have slipped up when it has come to playing a third game in a week, when we lost at Swansea and Wolverhampton. That is an indication that we need bodies to be fresh.
"It is just a little trend that we have noticed and have talked about."
Calderwood hopes Forest will go into the next international break, in October, in better spirits.
"Hopefully when the next break comes up we can go into it on a more positive note with a better result," he said.
"It has been a useful exercise and break and we are ready not just for this game, but the whole week. The players have all set themselves little targets and goals. But we need to get through these three games and make an improvement.
"The one thing you can say is that they do not fear anything, which is very positive."

NOTTINGHAM Forest have suffered a double injury blow
after Julian
Bennett and Lewis McGugan were ruled out for the foreseeable future.
Left-back Bennett suffered a calf tear in the 5-1 defeat to Wolves and
will miss at least the next three games against Burnley, Preston and
then Charlton a week on Saturday.
Midfielder McGugan, who has already been out a month, was expected to be
back in training this week.
But he has been ruled out for up to a further six weeks with his thigh
problem.
Bennett, who has started every league game this season and was player of
the year as Forest won promotion to the Championship, will be replaced
at left back by rookie Joe Heath or Chris Cohen for Saturday's match
with Burnley.
Manager Colin Calderwood said: "Julian has a torn calf muscle, he will
be out for the next three games at least.
"Lewis will be another four to six weeks. The results of his scan show
that he has ruptured a muscle in his thigh.
"The extent of Lewis's injury is such that we can't risk putting him
back into training just yet.
"It is far from the perfect scenario, to have these two players missing,
particularly with the patch of games we have coming up, with three in
eight days."

EXCLUSIVE: PLANS have been drawn up for a £100m super stadium to the east of West Bridgford.
The stadium would be the new home of Nottingham Forest and enable the city to host matches during the 2018 World Cup.
The Football Association is preparing a bid to bring the tournament to England in ten years' time.
The FA visited Nottingham on Monday and told a meeting of club officials and council leaders the city will be one of the 12 World Cup venues, provided it can deliver a world-class stadium.
But time is short. Forest and the politicians have to deliver their plans to the FA by January 2010, leaving little more than a year for negotiations to be concluded.
The stadium is part of plans for a massive sports quarter at Holme Pierrepont, which have been put forward by Forest. The new stadium would be built on land between Lady Bay and Holme Pierrepont, off Regatta Way.
As well as the football stadium, it includes:
A 10,000 seat 'community' stadium to host rugby, athletics and national and international sports events.
multi-use sports pitches
water sports – diving, sailing, angling, as well as the existing white water canoe course, rowing lake and water skiing
a golf course
nature reserve with walking and cycling routes
cafes, spa, health club and five-star hotel.

insists Julian Bennett.
The Reds have been matched up with Roy Keane's Premiership outfit only weeks after facing them in a pre-season friendly at the City Ground.
Though they lost that match 1-0, defender Bennett is convinced that Forest will benefit from having had the opportunity to size them up.
And he believes Forest have enough quality to cause an upset, saying: "We know what to expect from them. Hopefully we can go that one step further this time and get the win.
"We matched them in all areas really, there was not that much in it. It was a very good goal that decided it, from Kieran Richardson.
"But it was even otherwise and we will be looking to do better when we have a fully fit squad. We will give them a good game."
Bennett believes it will be a completely different game because of the competitive edge added by both teams' desire to make it into the third round.
"They obviously have that Premiership quality and we will know a little bit about them," he said.
"But it will be different in the cup, it will be a different game because there is so much more at stake."

New left-winger on loan

Nottingham Forest will today announce the signing of
Manchester United winger Lee Martin, on a season long
loan deal.
The 21 year old, is a left sided player and has been described in some quarters as the 'new Beckham.' Although he's been at United since 2003, he's failed to make the breakthrough into the first team.
Martin has spent a fair bit of his time out on loan and has had spells with Rangers, Stoke, Plymouth and Sheffield United.
